Tapping of the Trees

Come out to Tufts Campus to help us tap maple trees for the Maple Syrup Project. This event will be a ceremonious celebration of the first maple tree tapping for the season! Learn how to drill spires into the trees and watch the sap start to flow!
We will be collecting sap throughout the month of February, to boil at our community boil down on March 16th. If you are interested in signing up to collect more sap for us, please email casey@groundworksomerville.org.
Fun for the family! A great chance to learn the basics of this long-standing Massachusetts winter tradition, and support the local food movement all winter long.
