‘One City, One Story’ 2012

April 21, 2012 @ 12:00 am - 11:00 pm

Groundwork Somerville is excited about how closely our work is linked to the two books chosed for this year’s “One City, One Story” campaign:

The third annual “One City, One Story” campaign promotes literacy and community engagement by encouraging people all over the City to read and discuss books on the same theme. This year’s theme is food—local, sustainable, and delicious! The two books are: Farm City: the Education of an Urban Farmer by Novella Carpenter and Seedfolks by Paul Fleishman. Copies of the books are available for check out at all three Somerville Public Library locations.

This celebratory event includes music by the Michael J. Epstein Memorial, a community potluck (bring a dish to share with a list of ingredients), vote for your favorite dish, and the debut of the library’s new community cookbook.  Groundwork Somerville will have a table at this event!
