GET READY FOR THE BIG BOIL DOWN!

On Saturday, February 26th at 11:00 a.m., Groundwork Somerville will offer “Get Ready for the Big Boil Down!,” the final session its series of educational workshops for kids ages 6-9.  The program will take place at the Central Library (79 Highland Avenue) and is limited to 15 kids on a first come, first served basis.

All participants, their friends, family, and neighbors are also welcome to attend the Boil Down on Saturday March 5th from 10 am to 2 pm at the Somerville Community Growing Center (22 Vinal Ave.)  The event is free and open to the public.  Come watch and learn as sap from local trees is boiled down into pure maple syrup over a warm fire.  Join us for syrup-tasting, music, kids’ activities, and more!  For more information, contact Tai at tai@groundworksomerville.org, call 617-628-9988, or visit www.groundworksomerville.org
