Dear 1st-3rd graders, what are you doing over vacation? Come play, cook, dance, dig, plant, meet new friends and have fun in the garden!!! Groundwork Somerville and the Somerville Comunity Growing Center are offering "Spring Into Action 2008", a Vacation Week Program for 3rd graders. 30 spaces available on a first come, first serve basis. April 21st-April 25th, 9am-2:30 pm. Pick up and drop off at the Cummings School and activities based at the Growing Center. Lunch is provided daily. $40.00 sliding scale cost per child. This program will focus on environmental education, physical activity, and the preparation of nutritious foods. On Wednesday, there will be a field trip to Gaining Ground's vegetable farm in Concord, MA. Contact Aviva Asher at 617-628-9988 or aviva.asher@groundworksomerville.org for a registration form.
