Sponsor a Student for April Vacation Camp
Students hoping to play, cook, garden, and learn outside this April Vacation need your support! Groundwork Somerville seeks donors to sponsor students who wish to attend camp but cannot afford to pay the $120 fee.
“Spring into Action” April Vacation Week Camp provides Somerville 2nd and 3rd graders the opportunity to experience hands-on outdoor environmental education and be physically active for a majority of each vacation day. Students also work together to prepare a healthy lunch and take the time to enjoy our meal as a group. The program takes place at the Somerville Community Growing Center’s unique urban garden space and includes a field trip to volunteer at Gaining Ground’s vegetable farm in Concord, MA.
