Tree Planting
Since our establishment, Groundwork Somerville has promoted and led numerous tree planting events across the city.
We have focused on the environmental justice communities of East Somerville, Winter Hill and Clarendon Hill and often work in close partnership with the Somerville Housing Authority. In 2009, our plantings took place in both Somerville and in neighboring Everett. In 2011, we planted native apple trees in partnership with the Boston Tree Party.
We hope to continue to promote, participate in, and lead tree plantings for years to come.
