Community Conservation Education Partnership
The Community Conservation Education Partnership (CCEP) was founded to connect the entire Medford High School community (students, teachers and parents alike) to the Middlesex Fells Reservation through innovative in-school and after-school outdoor education, field research, and enrichment activities. Through year-round efforts and special events like the annual Fells Day in June, CCEP will reduce nature-deficit, beautify the school, increase appreciation, respect and stewardship of nature, and make make hands-on outdoor education an integral part of the DNA of Medford High School. The partnerships is organized by a steering committee of representatives from many organizations including Medford High School, the City of Medford, Groundwork Somerville, Friends of the Middlesex Fells Reservation, Tufts University, Department of Conservation and Recreation, Eagle Eye Institute, US Forest Service, Environmental Protection Agency and others.
