March 12, 2012 @ 12:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Join Tufts Environmental Studies Program as they welcome, Lois Gibbs, the Executive Director for the Center for Health, Environment and Justice (CHEJ) and Stephen Lester, the CHEJ Science Director as they discuss environmental activism and the media.

The lecture will take place at 12:00pm at Tufts University, Eaton Hall, Room 206, 5 The Green, Medford, MA 02155

Film Screening: Later that evening, Ms. Gibbs and Mr. Lester will join us to screen the film, A Fierce Green Fire. A Fierce Green Fire tells the story of environmental activism – people trying to save the planet, their homes, their lives, the future. It chronicles grassroots and global movements building over five decades; connecting all the causes to create a big-picture synthesis; and explores how we got here and where we’re going.
