SomerFun: A Romp for Independents

Join SLF for this FREE street festival. We’ll have over 50 participating organizations from Local Retailers and Artisans to Farmers, Nonprofits and Artists. SomerFun has something for everyone!
Throughtout the event, SomerFun will be…well Fun! A neighborhood wide scavenger hunt, and large interatctive installation from SLF Artist Autumn Ahn & SLF Member Chorus Collective, a collective of artists based in Union Square.
Farming demonstrations (like canning…and we’ll be milking animals!) and multi-cultural youth group dance and music will be sure to make SomerFun a great experience for all our guests.
A Locavore Recipe competition: Local, New England produced food will be a focus of SomerFun. Our soon to be announced contest will see its winner crowned here.
And the best part…this is a fundraiser for SLF, and its free and open to the public.
And maybe the second best part…there will be beer gardens.
Groundwork Somerville will be running many fun kids games, so bring along the whole family!
