School Garden Panel at Bountiful Brookline

Join Groundwork Somerville’s Gardens Coordinator at the School Yard Garden Panel, part of Bountiful Brookline’s 2nd Annual “Spring into Gardening” event:

Spring into Gardening 2011 will be a day-long celebration of edible gardening and local food, combining information with inspiration and community spirit.  In the morning, four two-hour workshops will offer intensive learning experiences for small groups of participants. Additional fees apply to the morning intensive workshops and pre-registration is required.  Doors open for General Admission and the Resource Area at 11:15 am.  Greg Watson, a pioneer of local food and sustainability initiatives in Massachusetts and nationally, will deliver the keynote address at noon. Three afternoon sessions of 45-minute workshops and panels include topics for gardeners at all levels from novice to advanced. We even have options if you don’t have your own yard. Throughout the afternoon there will be demonstrations and children’s activities, while community organizations and businesses will be on hand in our resource area.
