New Somerville Park Community Meeting TONIGHT, 7/8

Tonight, Monday July 8th, the City of Somerville will host the first of four public community meetings to discuss design ideas for the new “green” park to be built at the corner of Pearl and Florence Streets. We’re excited about this new project and hope you’ll come share your ideas! The meeting is from 6-8:30 pm at the Capuano School Cafeteria, off Washington at 150 Glen St.
The new park’s design process is starting now, with construction slated to begin in July 2014. The City will soon be interviewing landscape architects for the project and after that firm has been selected, three additional public meetings will be over the fall and winter. Everyone is welcome to attend!
