Maple Syrup Workshop @ the Library

February 5, 2011 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Check out this cool new way for Somerville youth to engage in the Somerville Maple Syrup Project:

Join us at the Main Branch Library during the four Saturdays in February to learn all about making maple syrup from urban trees in Somerville!   Meet in the Children’s Room at 11am.  Recommended for ages 6-9.  Limited to 15 kids on a first come, first served basis.

February 5: How do trees change from season to season? What is sap?  Why does it flow in the spring? Making hypotheses: when will sap flow and what might make it stop?  Join us to discover the answers to these questions and many more!

Thank you to the Friends of the Somerville Public Library for supporting this programming.  Workshop series is free and open to the public.
